REV. LEANNE NOLAND

Directing Pastor

Following a career in television news, Leanne found herself at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, IL.  She went on to earn her Master of Divinity degree in 2012 and was later ordained as an elder in full connection of The United Methodist Church in 2015.       Leanne's favorite things to do outside of church include: making up ridiculous dance moves with her 10-year-old niece Claire and 8-year-old nephew Brooks, shooting and editing videos/photos, anything involving musical theater, painting, practicing the ukulele, and being an advocate for the mental health community.

Leanne currently resides with her furry children: Ivy, a seven-year-old American Eskimo who enjoys shaking hands and barking at leaves; Oliver Sebastian, a two-year-old Chinese Crested whose wild hair makes him look like a Baroque-era composer; Scotland Fitzgerald, a handsome tabby cat commonly seen sporting a bow tie; Penelope Marie, a sweet grey/black domesticate shorthair and the only normal one of the family.  Finally, there's the four-year-old tortoise named Theodore (Teddy). He’s not one for long conversations.

Leanne knows God has appointed her to Pinckneyville First for “such a time as this”.  She is truly excited to live out all that God has planned for the faithful PFUMC community!

LORI SCHMIDT

Office Manager/Treasurer/Worship Accompanist

Lori and her husband, Don, have mostly lived in the area since 1991 and have 2 grown and married children. She has been a member of this church since 1995 and shortly thereafter started participating and then directing the Methodist Pre-school and Church Choir. She led and accompanied the church choir until 2020 when so many things stopped. Shameless plug for more music…she is always listening for more able voices and would love to put a choir together again, even if just once or twice a month, but that still takes practice and commitment. The congregation would also occasionally enjoy hearing musical solos or ensembles praising God with music during worship!
Other past activities included singing and directing the Madrigal Society, being a 4-H leader, serving as secretary to the Foundation for Pinckneyville, and directing the multi-church VBS for several years.  Besides working as a tax preparer at H & R Block, she currently enjoys being secretary and public relations director for Perry County HCE and being Nana to two adorable grandchildren.  She also likes to scrapbook, paint, craft, and preserve homegrown produce.
